hero-arts-lattice-hello-card

I love the look of heat embossing over a watercolored background. When I saw this Hero Arts Lattice stamp, I knew that I had to use it over watercolor. What made this a fun project was that it was my first time using metallic watercolor for accents. I didn’t even know that metallic watercolors existed! I could legitimately spend all day splattering gold paint onto everything 😉

  1. Watercolor your background with whatever color combination you like. I used the ‘Tropical’ watercolor collection here because the colors are so vibrant!
  2. This next step is optional but if you want the metallic accents, take your paintbrush and splatter some gold accents on the background. I used the metallic paints from Prima Marketing.
  3. Then take the Hero Arts lattice stamp and ink it up with some Versamark ink.
  4. Pour white embossing powder over your stamped image (before it dries), and shake off the excess.
  5. Heat emboss it
  6. Die cut the banner and ‘hello’ using a Cricut or Silhouette
  7. Pop the banner up using foam tape
  8. Glue the ‘hello’ on top of that
